June 4 -- spend the day with National Geographic environmental photographer, Peter Essick. Spend the day on a shoot at several beautiful locations on the Flint River. Georgia Conservancy hosts and senior VP Allie Kelly will brief the group during lunch on key river conditions and issues. Your photographs could be selected to helg the conservancy in its effort to stop the proposed damming of the Flint. This is an SPC "Eye on the World" workshop.
For the past 23 years, Peter Essick has worked as a free lance photographer. His main client has been National Georgraphic magazine. Essick has produced more than 30 stories for the magazine on a variety of topics.
June 11 is the 1st Annual Serenbe Photography Center Open Competition. The competition is in scavenger hunt format and open to all photographers -- sign up as an individual or a group.
