This photography/camera class for children will be offered each month and will evolve with the students' ability, so sign up again and again. An hour and a half will give mom and/or dad just enough time to explore Serenbe. | ||
Today’s children have access to technology much more than we did and will need photography skills. Drop your child/children at the Serenbe Photography Center on a Saturday morning for a basic camera/photography class developed for them. You must pre-register below. Each class is one session. You can sign up for any or all of them. This fun class will teach a bit of composition and then focus on the mechanics of using the child’s camera. Bring his/her fully charged camera with an empty SD card to have plenty of room to store images. We will tour the digital lab, complete a memorable composition exercise and then head out to the Serenbe grounds to shoot. The last 20 minutes will be spent printing 4” x 6" photos and discussing our work. This class is taught by Hazel Berger. She is a floral photographer selling her art at art festivals in the Southeastern United States. She has been shooting photographs for over 25 years. For the past six summers, Hazel has taught children science, photography and journalism as part of summer camps around Atlanta. She is the mother of three school-aged children. Her blog and photographs can be found on her website http://www.hazelberger.com/. |
